Volunteers

Here is a brief reason why all of the volunteers at Harlan House Sober Living Home are vetted:

  • To protect the residents. Harlan House is a place where people are recovering from addiction, and it is important to ensure that the volunteers who interact with them are safe and trustworthy. and that they are committed to providing support and guidance to the residents.
  • To ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.Volunteering can be a rewarding experience for both the volunteers and the people they are helping. However, it is important to make sure that everyone involved has a positive experience. By vetting our volunteers, we can help to ensure that they are prepared for the challenges of working with people in recovery, and that they are able to provide the support and guidance that the residents need.

  • To comply with regulations. Many sober living homes are regulated by the state or local government. In order to comply with these regulations, sober living homes may be required to vet their volunteers. By vetting our volunteers, we can help to ensure that we are meeting all applicable regulations.

In addition to these reasons, we also vet our volunteers because we believe that it is the right thing to do. We want to make sure that the people who volunteer at Harlan House are the best possible people for the job. We want to ensure that they are safe, trustworthy, and committed to providing support and guidance to the residents.
